After introducing the skills of pulling white stripes and tilting the mouth, today I would like to introduce another small fish, namely the horse mouth. Personally, I think Makou is the most delicious of these small miscellaneous fish, and it is ranked in the top few. Makou is distributed from the south to the small waters of Peking University, which is characterized by preferring clear water quality. This habit also leads to the absence of Makou in some polluted waters, which also leads to the delicious taste of this small fish. Makou especially likes to live in mountain streams. Makou here is stronger and more delicious than those in rivers and lakes, because it is not easy to live in running water, there is less food, and it is necessary to fight against running water. Its physique is definitely not comparable to that of Makou in still water.
I. Main Habits of Hormouth Fish
Hormouth fish is a small fish, usually about one or two. It lives with broad-fin laps in mountain streams and streams. Many fishing friends also confuse the two kinds of fish. The biggest difference between them lies in the mouth. The name of Hormouth fish comes from the shape of the mouth of this fish. Hormouth fish are strictly carnivorous fish and like to eat insects in water. Although they are small, they are extremely fierce. There are many ways to catch horses, mainly looking at the waters. Fishing in streams can be done by using stream poles with corresponding fishing groups, or by using light Luya, which is very fun. Hormouth fish like to live in streams or tributaries of rivers with sand and gravel bottom. Choose fishing points to keep in mind one key point and look for slow-flowing places in rapids, such as backwater whirlpools, behind stones, etc.
Second, fishing group matching
Today, the main stream fishing method, stream fishing is actually a very fun fishing method, very casual. The first is the stream rod, which is characterized by short sections, similar to the traditional fishing rod in this respect and is more convenient to carry. Since the stream mainly catches small fish and is smaller than crucian carp, the fishing rod is very light and does not need to be so thick inside. It is enough to choose a stream pole of about 4.5. After all, the main fishing place is the small tributaries of mountain streams or lakes. The matching of fishing groups is actually very simple. The first is the choice of floats. Floats need to use small floats dedicated to stream fishing, similar to platform fishing floats, but they are extremely short because streams are not too deep. There are two choices of fishing line, one is ordinary nylon line, and some fishing friends will use colored PE line. One is that the position of the fishing group can be clearly seen, and the other is that fishing in places with more stones will be more wear-resistant. The fishing group can be understood as a table fishing line group with single hook and through line, but there is no lead pendant and lead biting is required.
3. Bleaching and Bait Use
How to adjust the drift? First, the distance between the float and the fishhook is determined according to the water depth. Second, the amount of lead bite is determined according to the water flow priority. The ultimate goal is to suspend the fishing group in an arc in the water as shown in the above figure. The fishhook is close to the bottom but cannot hang on the bottom, which is somewhat similar to fishing off the bottom, because the main point of fishing in the stream is to find fish with bait. That is to say, after hanging the bait, the fishing group is thrown into the water and floated by the current. When passing through the place where the fish and horse mouth are located, the horse mouth will come out to eat the bait. It is relatively simple to use bait. You can find a small insect under the stream stone. The scientific name is unknown. It seems to be the larva of what insect. Or use earthworm red worm hooks. Or use flour bait, that is, the sticky paste made of eggs and flour, which is pushed out by a syringe to complete the bait. This is also the gray flour bait in traditional fishing.
Four, the operation essentials
Choose the right fishing point and try to find the fishing point where the water flow slows down, such as whirling bay, turning, whirling, behind stone, etc. The slow water flow is a key point for the horse-mouth fish to hide easily, otherwise the water flow is fast and the body cannot be fixed. Adjust the float and fishing group so that the fishing group can be washed away by the water, but it is very close to the bottom of the water and does not hang the bottom. This requires adjusting the position of the float and the amount of lead bitten, which will not be introduced. Hang up the bait, throw the rod upstream, and let the fishing group be slowly washed to the vicinity of the selected fishing point. If there is a horse’s mouth, it will soon rush out to grab the bait. The floating action will be very obvious, and the fish can be caught by lifting the rod.
Hormouth fish often live in streams together with broad-finned and long-finned fish. The two kinds of fish are equally delicious and the three kinds of fish have almost the same habits, so one fishing method catches three kinds of fish. However, the broad-fin and long-fin laps are very beautiful and are the “treasures” of many native fish lovers. It is very interesting to get a large fish tank and spread it with sand and gravel and big stones. The broad-fin and long-fin laps swim in groups. Please collect and pay attention to it if you like, and update it on time every day. Thank you for your fishing friends!
